The name of this blog is Field Day, which should give you a hint that I get excited about just about anything involving grass, and that includes the beginning of the Pasture Butter season. This is butter made from hormone and antibiotic-free cows who graze in pesticide-free fields. You can't get much better (or old-fashioned) than that. The fat content is higher and so is the CLA and Omega-3's, which is better for you. But mostly, it's delicious. Far better than any butter you can buy in the states, and not unlike the rich butters people are used to eating in Europe. Find it at Whole Foods until September.
